Athletic Responsibilities:

1.      While out for a sport, set a good example on the playing floor, in the classroom and outside of school.  Maintain high academic standards.

2.      Be willing to commit 100% to the sport in which you are competing.

3.      Show good sportsmanship and respect to teammates, coaches, opponents, officials and parents.

4.      Maintain honest communication and cooperate with teammates, coaches, and parents.

5.      Know that you can communicate with your coaches.

6.      Improve fundamentally and emotionally.  Work to become a better athlete and develop higher self-esteem. 

7.      Set realistic goals and strive for them.

8.      Keep things in perspective and always strive toward a positive attitude.

9.      Maintain healthy living and good physical condition.

10. Learn the fundamentals for the game and execute the fundamentals to the best of your ability. 

11. Take responsibility for your own behavior.

12. Keep winning and losing in perspective.

13. Substituting is a way of providing opportunities for more athletes to participate in the game.  Remember this when you are taken out of the game.  Support others while they are playing and always be ready to go in. 

14. Commit to hard work - do not settle for being average.

15. Commit to becoming a smarter player - understand all aspects of the game, think quickly on your feet, make good decisions, outsmart your opponent, and have poise under pressure. 

16. Be loyal, be coachable, be open, be motivated, and be dedicated.
